About Val

Backed by over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA. Growing up in the former USSR, I watched my mother, an incredibly smart engineer, struggle with understanding the concepts of managing money. Since then, I have always wanted to help individuals make sense of their financial matters and show my clients how these complex concepts can be simple and clear. I find tremendous satisfaction as I help them navigate through their financial journey. I’m happy to know that I can alleviate some of the stresses that come with financial matters, so my clients can focus on other important aspects of their lives. I received a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from the George Washington University. I currently reside in the suburbs of Washington with my wife, Daria, and our two children, Emma and Marc. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, tennis, taking my daughter to ballet, and swimming. As a family, we try to stay active and travel both domestically and internationally.
