About Michael

I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA with 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. My areas of focus include risk management, efficient retirement income planning, and complex estate planning. These are often overlooked areas of a financial plan. I partner with families to address these areas and short and long term planning. My primary goal is to be the premier advocate for the financial well-being of every family that partners with me. I found my home at TIAA where I advocate for clients and their families by guiding them towards long-term goals in a setting that prioritizes ethics, honesty, and integrity.

I pursued a career in financial services because I watched my parents struggle as they approached retirement. Through that experience, I saw how important it was for families to develop a trusted relationship with a financial planner leading up to and through retirement.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Finance from Georgetown University and my Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. I currently teach a class at the University of Maryland College Park called “Designing Your Life After College”. I was drawn to this class and opportunity because I always wanted the opportunity to help educate our youth on subjects I wish I was taught at a young age like financial planning and investing.

I currently reside in the community of River Hill in Clarksville, MD with my wife Kristin and our daughters Emily and Marianne. In our free time we enjoy spending time hiking, traveling and skiing.
