About Karen

I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA with over 30 years of financial services experience. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Delaware, and Master’s degree in Counseling from New York University.
My father was a NYC Board of Education school teacher and ran a children’s sleep away camp. He was always interested and active in investing. He opened an IRA for me at a young age, and taught me about fiscal responsibility and the power of investing. He was able to retire at the age of 55 and is still collecting his pension at age 91! He inspired me to help people plan a great retirement.
Money is an essential part of life, yet many of us were not taught how to invest, save, or make prudent financial decisions. I love my job because I am able to help people plan for retirement and make an impact on their family’s lives.
I live in the River Towns of Westchester County N.Y. where I raised my two daughters. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, yoga, reading and cooking. I serve as the Sergeant at Arms on the board of my condominium complex.
