About Jonathan
I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA with 20 years of financial services experience. I completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designations and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
My family has a rich history of helping people in the educational and medical fields. My grandfather contributed to the creation of silver nitrate (colloidal silver) to treat victims of severe burns and both of my parents were teachers. My family’s dedication to helping people inspired me to want a career connected to helping people as well.
After taking several finance and economics classes I college, I discovered that I could help people with their financial health by providing comprehensive financial planning. My great uncle, a successful financial planner headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, was my mentor and an invaluable resource as I navigated the earlier stages of my financial planning career. As a “financial educator” at TIAA, I help my clients realize their short and long-term desires through sound financial planning.
I was born in Michigan and grew up mostly in Southwestern Vermont. I live with my wife, Jackie and our miniature dachshund, Marco. I enjoy many activities such as mountain biking, boating, running, golf, soccer, volleyball, basketball and exercise classes and traveling with Jackie. Additionally, I am on the Board of Directors for Western New York Bloodcare.
