About John
I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA with 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Earlier in my career, I was a public school teacher, and in my current role at TIAA, I enjoy the teaching aspect of financial planning and education. At TIAA, we serve amazing clients and institutions, by helping them work towards financial well-being and retirement security.
As a kid, I observed my family’s financial advisor come to our house to talk with my parents about their financial vision. While I didn’t know the particulars, he enjoyed helping my parents build their financial plan, and my parents trusted him and valued his advice. Today, my parents are enjoying a secure retirement. I strive to build the same rapport and trust with my own clients.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Grand Valley State University. I currently reside in Okemos, MI with my wife Teresa, and our two sons, David and Daniel. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cycling, and all water sports. We have a Golden Retriever that we enjoy taking on walks and hikes, which is one of our favorite ways to stay active.
