About Charles
I am a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA with 22 years of financial services experience. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from California State University. I also hold my Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designations.
Twenty years ago, I discovered my passion for helping people manage their money, which spurred me to go back to school, earn my CFP® designation, and carve my career as a dedicated financial advisor. It is my calling to build strong relationships with my clients and educate them on holistic financial planning strategies. I am in the business of using all my knowledge and resources toward improving the lives of the people with whom I have the privilege of connecting. This is where I fit in the world, and love doing it!
For the past 15 years and counting, I have served on the Financial Board of BridgeWay Church in Denver, Colorado. This church is a true community partner, and works actively with a diverse congregation. For the last year and a half, I have thrown myself into learning Spanish. I love the language, the people in the world who speak it, and can’t wait to someday be fluent. I revel in the outdoors and some of the popular Colorado recreational hobbies, including skiing, hiking, elk hunting, gardening, and golf. I am a happily married father of three wonderful children, and spend most weekends -- weather permitting -- cheering on our two baseball players in local and out-of-state tournaments. I am also a huge fan of my daughter’s writing and arts.
